Organisation Profile

Treat Every Environment Special Sdn Bhd. (TrEES) is a local non-profit environment organisation established in February 1995. With over thirteen years of experience working on environmental issues, TrEES believes in engaging diverse sectors of Malaysian society, at both the local and national level, to work together in conserving the environment.

TrEES programmes are primarily based in urban areas, produce tangible results and are community driven. While the lifestyles of the urban community have a tremendous impact on Malaysia's natural resources, this community is the most disconnected from the natural environment.

TrEES works with communities to:

  • raise their awareness on issues concerning the environment
  • empower them to conserve and manage the environment responsibly

Our programmes involve communities such as resident groups, welfare organisations, youth groups, schools, colleges and universities as well as private sector organisations. TrEES works with these groups to identify and resolve issues impacting them.

TrEES programmes are dynamic in nature constantly growing in size and scope in relation to the needs of the community. We take innovative approaches in developing and implementing our programmes with an emphasis on sustainability. Many of our programmes are still running successfully and have over the years been built upon and replicated by other organisations.
