- The park study area, covers 113,000 hectares of forests along the eastern
border of Selangor, is the longest stretch of forested area in Selangor and
protects some of the state's and nation's most vital natural resources.
- It is one of the few sizeable, multi-use forested areas in close proximity
to a major urban area in the world.
- It sustains the livelihood of local communities and Indigenous groups.
- The proposed Park also holds large areas of forest reserves and wildlife
sanctuaries vital to the conservation of tropical rainforests.
- To establish the concept of a State Government managed, multi-purpose park
for the sustainable development of Selangor's natural resources.
